Sri Lanka is world-renowned for producing some of the finest teas on earth. Known globally as Ceylon Tea, Sri Lankan tea is celebrated for its exceptional flavor, aroma, and quality. The Main Tea Regions of Sri Lanka

1. Nuwara Eliya Tea Region

3. Uva Tea Region

Uva Province produces one of the most distinctive Ceylon teas. Strong seasonal winds and unique climate conditions create teas with a brisk taste and unmistakable aroma. Uva teas are internationally recognized for their exceptional flavor.

4. Uda Pussellawa Tea Region

Situated near Nuwara Eliya, Uda Pussellawa produces teas with a smooth and subtle taste profile. The teas from this region are known for their medium body and delicate flavor notes.

5. Kandy Tea Region

Kandy is one of the oldest tea-producing regions in Sri Lanka. Kandy teas are rich, full-bodied, and strong, making them ideal for everyday tea drinkers who enjoy bold flavors.

6. Ruhuna Tea Region

The Ruhuna region is known for low-grown teas with dark liquor and strong flavor. These teas are especially popular in Middle Eastern markets due to their bold character.

7. Sabaragamuwa Tea Region

Sabaragamuwa Province is Sri Lanka’s largest tea-growing district. The teas produced here are heavy-bodied with a deep color and naturally sweet aroma.
